Staff Members - Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia

The Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia has a small, but dedicated staff ready and willing to assist you in any way they can. The following is a roster of staff and their areas of responsibility:

Pam Murphy - Development Director. Pam serves as our Director of Development, and works closely with the affiliate's two largest fund raisers, the Taste of Love and the Magnolia Run. She also coordinates the Annual Campaign and works closely with the board on financial development and budget issues. Her other areas of focus include recruitment of corporate sponsorships and Foundation gifts.

Lloyd Brown - In his role as Director of Education/Client Services, Lloyd travels the state to educate the public on epilepsy, the appropriate first aid for seizures and to dispel many of the misconceptions about the disorder. He works with groups as diverse as day care providers to Head Start Centers, school systems and senior centers. In addition to his education responsibilities, Lloyd coordinates the affiliate's medication assistance program, summer camps for children and adults with epilepsy and support groups. He also handles many of the education and referral requests the affiliate receives.

Marilyn Poliakoff, Ed.S. - Director, Employment Program. A long-time human resources specialist, Marilyn coordinates the Epilepsy Works program. She works closely with clients in providing them with the skills and job seeking techniques needed in today's difficult economic environment. Among the issues Marilyn discusses with clients are the areas of disclosure in the job seeking process and the rights afforded persons with epilepsy under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Kathleen Bennett - Kathleen is probably the first person you will talk to when you call the Foundation. As Office Coordinator, she will route you to the appropriate staff person to handle your needs. She also serves as the lead person on the affiliate's new data management system. Kathleen also coordinates the various Board and Committee meeting schedules. She will be involved throughout the year on our Advocacy efforts.
