It's Time to Put On Your Walking Shoes
Spring will soon be here and that means that it is time to start training for the 2012 National Walk for Epilepsy. The largest National fund raiser will take place on the National Mall in Washington, DC on Saturday , March 31.
Each year thousands of persons with epilepsy, their family and friends gather to not only to raise money for the epilepsy cause but also to make a statement that they are not going to let epilepsy beat them. Also included in the day's activities are educational presentations, musical performances and words of inspiration. It is a great way to network with others facing similar challenges on a daily basis and realize you are not alone in dealing with epilepsy.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia is very proud to have been the top affiliate in the country in funds raised for the past two years. We would like to keep this streak alive, as the funds will be used to support education, support programs, camp and advocacy for persons with seizure disorders in the Peach State. We need your help to keep the Georgia Affiliate on top, either as a participant in the actual walk or as a donor to the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia Team.
