You don't have to face epilepsy alone. Connect with others who understand.
The North Fulton Support Group is still meeting via Zoom. They meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm
You can learn more about this group and how to receive the meeting link by contacting Tim Ulmer, support group leader, at timulmer@hotmail.com
When a child is diagnosed with epilepsy it affects every member of the family. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta offers a support group for patients with epilepsy and their parents and siblings.
For Parents
Caregivers receive information, education, resource sharing and emotional support. Led by Children's Healthcare providers, the group is open for parents and caregivers to share experiences.
For Children (age 7+)
Children attend a peer discussion group without their parents for 90 minutes. Participants receive tools for coping with their diagnosis in a social setting — a safe space to learn, share real life experiences and meet others. Siblings are also welcome. Led by a neuropsychology fellow and child life specialist.
When: Second Tuesday of each month (except July and August)
Time: Dinner provided at 6:00pm. Child and caregiver groups begin at 6:30pm.
